Officer – Finance, Legal &/ Compliance

Education & Experience:

  • LLB from a recognised university with minimum 6 years of experience in any law firm or in-house corporate legal department.
  • Expertise in corporate legal matters.
  • Exposure in secretarial compliance is added advantage.
  • Good in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A team player who relates well with other departments/stakeholders and counterparties.
  • Must have experience supporting multiple legal matters simultaneously.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of independent reasoning & excellent analytical judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ability to draft, restructure, negotiate and advise on a broad range of commercial contracts including but not limited to master service agreements, service level agreements/statement of works, vendor contracts, addendums, amendments, confidentiality agreements, etc.
  • Responsible for providing strategic legal advice and act proactively to prevent and minimize legal risks faced by the company. Responsible for monitoring all legal affairs of the organization (internal & external).
  • Maintaining repository of agreements executed and under review by our client.
  • Tracking and maintaining originals of agreements.
  • Monitoring progress in all legal matters to ensure timely action. Update and maintain the litigation tracker, liaison with the respective stakeholders.
  •  Advice on specific issues raised by our client concerning their function.
  • Draft reply to show cause notices, letters, and any communication received from the regulators.
  • Streamlining communication among stakeholders.
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
  • Exposure to labour matter & benefits, corporate affairs, income-tax, GST and other taxation matters are added advantages.
  • Documentation of agreements, contracts, and legal documents and liaising with respective bodies.
  • Drafting Agreements, Notices and reply to notices, Deeds, Letters (Show Cause, Inquiry, Termination letters, Appointment letters, etc.), Board Resolutions, MOUs, Affidavits, Sale Deeds, Leave and License Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Lease Deeds (including registration of the agreements), Drafting Petitions, Appeals and Litigations, etc.
